Mt. Oliver Borough is governed by seven elected Council members and a Mayor. The Mayor is elected for a 4-year term; Council Members are elected for 4-year, overlapping terms. There are no term limits in Mt. Oliver. The Borough operates under a Council-Manager form of government where the day-to-day activities of the Borough are coordinated by an appointed Borough Manager. The Borough Manager is an agent of Council and responsible for carrying out the policies and enforcing the ordinances of the Borough.
