Public Works – Street Department

The Department of Public Works is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of Borough property and infrastructure.  They are responsible for facility maintenance, trash collection in the Business District, patching pot holes, maintaining traffic signs and pavement markings, grass cutting (including parks, vacant lots, and public right-of-ways), snow removal, sanitary and storm sewer maintenance, and responding to any other misc. issue that may arise during the work day.

The Borough employs two full-time Public Works employees year-round, as well as two or three seasonal helpers in the busy summer months.
