Transverse Park Plan
Mt. Oliver Borough has a strong commitment to provide its community with a high quality park and access to recreational opportunities for all ages. Planning for the future of Transverse Park is about understanding the site, determining the needs and desires of the community, and evaluating the capacity and capability of the Borough and its partners.

Mt. Oliver Cuts
The Mt. Oliver Cuts Program provides qualifying Borough residents with free contracted services for grass cutting. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Please note, if you applied and were accepted into the program during a previous year, you do not need to reapply.
Mt. Oliver Snow Angels
To reinforce the bonds of community, the MTO Snow Angel program works to pair residents in need with helpful volunteers to ensure sidewalks and driveways are clear of snow and ice. Clear walkways also aid our community workers, like postal carriers, trash collectors, and emergency services.
Program Guidelines:
- Matches are made on a rolling basis and may not be made right away. Requests and volunteers are accepted throughout the season and matches will be made as they are available.
- Those requesting services are expected to provide a shovel and salt to the Angel volunteer. Those requesting services should not need to be home to receive services.
- Areas are expected to be clear as soon as possible, but within 24-hours of the end of a snow event.
